Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo says he feels at home on Merseyside, and not just because of the number of Dutch players at Anfield.

Gakpo is one of three Dutch players in the first-team squad, along with Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch, while new manager Arne Slot is also from the Netherlands, having joined from Feyenoord in the summer.
The Reds star is happy with life at the top of the Premier League and believes the Dutch squad has helped him feel at home.
“When Liverpool came to me, I felt it was a very welcoming club… similar to PSV but bigger,” Gakpo said.
“I felt at home immediately.”
“The people and the fans are amazing and they’ve helped me a lot. I’m so grateful to be here. It’s a no-brainer. There are a few Dutch here but overall we’re a real family, no matter where you’re from. From the moment I arrived everyone treated me like a brother.”
“The biggest strength of this club is that it doesn’t matter where you come from, you are part of a family. We fight for each other.”
“I know Ryan (Gravenberch) from the Eredivisie and everyone knows he’s very good. He didn’t play much at Bayern Munich but everyone in Holland knows how good he is.”
“The manager knows this and has given him UFABET confidence. Ryan has shown his quality, he has been outstanding. I am very happy that now you see the Ryan that we Dutch know.”
