Flatulence and gas refer to the release of gas from the digestive tract through the anus. It occurs when gas builds up in the digestive tract, which is a normal process in the body.

The human body normally accumulates gas in two main ways, which lead to symptoms of bloating and flatulence:

It occurs during digestion , which causes a build-up of gases such as hydrogen, methane, carbon dioxide. Eating beans, cabbage, raisins, broccoli, apples, ทางเข้า ufabet and foods high in fructose sugar will increase gas in the digestive system and may also cause an unpleasant odor.

Swallowing air when eating or drinking causes oxygen and nitrogen to accumulate in the digestive tract. Causes that may cause more air to be swallowed than normal include chewing gum, smoking, drinking carbonated drinks, and eating too quickly.

Both bloating, burping and farting are caused by similar causes. Prevention can be done in a similar way as follows:

  • Avoid foods that cause acid and gas, such as fatty, hard-to-digest foods, beans, and cruciferous vegetables, as well as coffee, soft drinks, and alcohol.
  • Eat a small amount of food at a time.
  • Reduce talking during meals
  • Avoid foods that you are allergic to or foods that your body cannot digest.
  • Do not rush to eat and chew your food thoroughly.
  • Avoid lying down, bending over, or wearing a seatbelt too tightly after eating.
  • Exercise regularly, especially if you work at a desk.
  • No smoking

Self-treatment of flatulence and gas

  • Change your diet. If your diet contains carbohydrates that are difficult to digest, switch to easier-to-digest carbohydrates, such as potatoes, rice, or bananas.
  • Keep a food diary. Keeping a food  diary can help you identify triggers that may be causing you to pass more gas and bloating than usual.
  • Divide your meals into small meals. Try to divide your meals into 5-6 small meals per day to help your digestive system work more easily.
  • Chew your food properly to avoid swallowing more air than normal, and avoid chewing gum, smoking, or talking while eating.
  • Exercising properly and regularly will help stimulate digestion, make the intestines move, and help prevent bloating and flatulence.

Although flatulence, burping, and farting are just symptoms and not serious illnesses, if abnormalities are found along with other symptoms, it may indicate a serious disease hidden in the digestive system or may develop into other illnesses. Therefore, you should see a doctor immediately for diagnosis and effective treatment.
